The Client

Teonfa Care Services is a domiciliary care agency set up to meet the ever changing needs of people who want to remain independent in their own homes. Its main aim is releasing time to care by availing its services to cater for the needs of vulnerable individuals 24hrs a day.

The Brief

When the founding members of Teonfa Care first met with the graffo team they were a fledgling start up with plenty of enthusiasm. We immediately recognised their success potential and were excited to be onboard.
As experienced care workers who had worked within the care sector for many years and had seen the various failings of the current system in place, they decided to go it alone and move out of the care homes to start caring for people in their own homes.
We were asked to communicate this in Teonfa Care’s new branding.

The Challenge

Teonfa Care had developed a new system of caring for people in their own homes, yet the challenges they faced at launch were the same as those faced by many care sector start-ups today:

• Explaining their services

• Attracting investors

• Identifying the right clients and their needs

One reason the service was so difficult to explain was because of its different approach to care. Another was the diversity of the audience the company had to reach: clients, investors, customers, media and potential employees. As a start-up, the business support they needed included helping them identify the best short-term and long-term strategy for marketing their services.

The Solution

We designed a package of support and coaching to help Teonfa Care achieve three things:

• Develop their marketing strategy

• Develop their brand to communicate the value of their service to potential investors and clients

• Identify their services to build visibility and gain confidence in the sector

With coaching and support from one of our experienced Design Advisors, Teonfa Care were able to quickly refine their business proposition, sharpen their sales pitch to potential clients, and communicate their value more effectively. The company’s identity was also fundamental to their success.

The Result

Over the course of our work together Teonfa Care gained the confidence of knowing they had a brand they could stand behind and be proud of. The company has expanded significantly since those early days and is now the fastest growing care group Bedfordshire.
